Since the announcement of a new reboot of the 2009 fan-favorite Modern Warfare 2 classic, many COD veterans have been thrilled to see their favorite game get a new coat of paint. With all new game modes, maps and regular season events, COD Modern Warfare 2 will provide endless fun for both new and old fans of the franchise. With each new season, the game undergoes major changes, and the second season is no different. But does the new season of Afghanistan add back to Modern Warfare 2? Let’s find out.
Afghanistan map back in Modern Warfare 2?
This may be disappointing for fans of the classic multiplayer map, but the lack of a map in Season 2 doesn’t mean we’ll never see it in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer. Game developers Infinity Ward have been known to rely on previous assets and draw inspiration from classic cards from previous releases of the series. Older maps like Storm, Shipment, and Pipeline are quietly popping up all over Al Masra in Warzone 2. So while there’s no official confirmation, it’s only a matter of time (or seasons) when all fan-favorite maps like “Afghan”, Favela, Terminal, Quarry, and Underpass (just to name a few) will all return with improved graphics.
