A television adaptation of the Drops of God manga will air later this year on the Apple TV+ streaming platform.
Drama series “Drops of God”, directed by Oded Raskin and written by Kuok Dang Tran, is based on the manga of the same name by Tadashi Agi and Shu Okimoto. In the cast, we will find actors Fleur Jeffrier (Das the Boat, El, Goliath) as Camille Léger and Tomohisa Yamashita (Head, Tokyo PD, Alice in the Borderlands) as Issei Tomine.

The story begins when the world of gastronomy and fine wines is in mourning after the death of Alexandre Léger, creator of the famous Léger wine guide and an emblematic figure in oenology. His daughter Camilla is expected to inherit an outstanding wine collection in Tokyo – the largest collection in the world, according to experts. But to make a name for herself, she will have to compete with the young and brilliant oenologist Issei Tomine, whom her father has taken under his wing and who is named in Léger’s will as his “spiritual son.”But is his connection to Issei only spiritual?

Franco-Japanese production led by Les Productions Dynamic, 22H22 and Adline Entertainment, Drops of God will be filmed in Japanese and French. Note that Legendary Entertainment and Kodansha (the publisher of the aforementioned manga) control everything.
Kodansha, one of Japan’s largest publishing houses, was founded in 1909 and has a wide range of publishing businesses. The society is passionate about its mission to promote reading and offers numerous literary awards, such as the Noma Prize and the Yoshikawa Prize, which recognize the contribution of talented authors to improving the culture of publishing.
