A Plague Tale Requiem is a continuation of the previous part of Innocence. Set during the 100 Year War, Requiem features the siblings, Amika, as well as Hugo. Can you save the herbalist in A Plague Tale Requiem?
Answer to this question: Yes, you can save the Herbalist from his kidnappers. You need to use Extinguish with a sling to put out their torch. But for this, you will need some crafted resources to save him from the kidnappers.
Follow the steps below to rescue the Herbalist in A Plague Tale: Requiem:
- You can search the large chest under the church in the old ruined village to find these materials. You can find a chest to the right of the Mary statue.

- Once you get the crafting materials, you need to craft Extinguish with Sling.
- You need to use your sling to put a fire at the entrance to the church. We suggest staying where you are and hiding until two guards are within attack range.
- When one of the guards moves a little to the left, use the fire extinguisher with a sling to extinguish his torch.

- After that, hordes of rats will eat the guard alive.
- This event will now be followed by another guard investigating the guard, leaving the Herbalist alone.
- While he is walking there, you need to fire another projectile from your sling to extinguish his torch. This will cause the rats to eat the other guard alive.
While rescuing the Herbalist doesn’t earn you any achievements or narrative changes, it does retain a piece of dialogue that Amika feels guilty about.
