Dwarf Fortress has a unique mechanic in place for denoting the quality of all the different crafted items from furniture to Clothes. While the quality is based upon the Craftsdwarfship and the materials used by the creator, the name of the item is then changed based on its quality. Certain symbols and characters are added in denoting the level of quality of the item.
