Amazon Launches Accelerator for Generative AI Startups: 10 Weeks of Support with AWS Experts and Services.
Amazon may not be known for its work on generative artificial intelligence (AI) – it’s only a matter of time – but the American giant is ready to help others build their technology. Amazon Web Services (AWS) just launched a generative AI accelerator to help the “most promising”startups. A 10-week program that will offer AWS credits, provision of mentors and other experts, and access to special events. After these ten weeks, startups present their work to potential clients and investors.
Amazon Launches Generative AI Startup Accelerator
While this accelerator is open to all Generative AI startups, AWS encourages applicants to have at least one core product of some public interest in place. Registration is open to the world until April 17, and Amazon is making it clear that there is no limit to how artificial intelligence is used — as long as it remains within the realm of legality, of course.
The American giant hopes that this accelerator will serve as a “catalyst”to drive innovation in the field of generative AI. At the same time, it is also a potential source of significant business advancement for AWS. Runway uses the company’s cloud computing platform for artist-focused artificial intelligence, which, among other things, contributed to the visual effects of the film “Everything, Everywhere, At Once.”Companies that succeed through this program are more likely to use the AWS platform and services to meet demand and growth.
10 weeks of support with AWS experts and services
Amazon currently has few generative AIs of its own. Its Create with Alexa tool lets you create stories for kids, such as on the Echo Show smart display. And at the same time, the American giant clearly has fewer requirements for creating its own products in this area than purely technical competitors like Google and Microsoft. The company could continue to make a profit while the demand for AWS tools is so high, and it could use all the work of competitors as inspiration for its own artificial intelligence.
