The Lenovo ThinkPad Z13 and Z16 are the first devices in a new range of laptops from Lenovo called the ThinkPad Z series. The new ThinkPad models feature the latest AMD Ryzen PRO 6000 series processors and feature a completely new design.
These new laptops are said to be made from recycled aluminum and vegan leather. Let’s take a closer look at the specs, features, and price of the recently launched Lenovo ThinkPad Z13 and Z16 laptops.
Lenovo ThinkPad Z13 and Z16 Price
The Lenovo ThinkPad Z13 is available in two color options, Arctic Gray and Bronze, with a starting price of $1,549. On the other hand, the Lenovo ThinkPad Z16 will start at $2,099.
Both options will be available from May 2022, but the company does not name the exact dates. Lenovo has not released global pricing or availability information for new ThinkPad laptop models.
Lenovo ThinkPad Z13
The Lenovo ThinkPad Z13 features a 13.5-inch IPS OLED display with a resolution of 2880 x 1620 pixels, a maximum brightness of 400 nits, a 91.6 percent screen-to-body ratio, and a 16:10 aspect ratio. It also has minimal support for blue light emission. The laptop comes preloaded with Windows 11 and supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos audio.
Under the hood, the laptop is powered by an AMD Ryzen Pro U-series processor with integrated AMD Radeon graphics and a laptop GPU. The laptop is also available with an exclusive AMD Ryzen Pro processor. It is powered by a 50Wh battery with Rapid Charge and weighs 1.25kg.
The laptop is equipped with up to 32GB DDR5 RAM and up to 1TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD. In terms of connectivity, it offers Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth v5.2, LTE 4G, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB 4.0 Type-C ports. The keyboard integrates a Lenovo Match-on-Chip fingerprint reader, paired with a Full-HD infrared camera with dual microphones.
Lenovo ThinkPad Z16
The older Lenovo ThinkPad Z16 features a 16-inch 4K IPS OLED display with a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels, a 16:10 aspect ratio, a 92.3% screen-to-body ratio, and a maximum brightness of 400 nits. The laptop is equipped with an AMD Ryzen Pro processor with integrated AMD Radeon graphics or discrete AMD Radeon graphics as an option. It is compatible with Dolby Vision and has a low blue light filter, according to Lenovo. It can also accommodate up to 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM and a 2TB PCIe SSD.
In terms of connectivity, the device has a backlit keyboard, Wi-Fi 6E, LTE 4G, Bluetooth 5.2, three USB 4.0 Type-C ports, an SD card reader, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The newly arrived laptop weighs 1.97 kg. Like the Z13, the Z16 boots Windows 11 out of the box.
In terms of audio outputs and inputs, the ThinkPad Z16 is equipped with Dolby Atmos sound system and Dolby Voice AI noise reduction system. The keyboard has a Match-on-Chip fingerprint reader. Lenovo included a 70 Wh battery to power the device.
