Apple is working on a 15-inch iPad

Apple will certainly be working on a 15-inch iPad to be used as a smart display.

There was a time when the Apple iPad did not exceed 9 inches diagonally. Then the Cupertino-based company introduced its iPad Pro with a 12.9-inch screen that might have seemed quite huge at the time. Moreover, at that time, the Apple brand still offered 13-inch laptops in its catalog. However, users quickly got used to this size and now appreciate it on a daily basis. Maybe Apple got to the point where it got too big? Does the apple brand think bigger?

Apple will work on a 15-inch iPad

According to Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman’s Power On newsletter, the Cupertino-based company is currently working on a 15-inch iPad. What’s interesting is that this large iPad appears to be allowing the Apple brand to compete with companies like Amazon that offer smart displays.

Of course, for use as a smart display

Mark Gurman claims that this larger tablet will also have special features such as more powerful speakers, which can be very good for filling a room with music, for example, and that the cameras will be landscape by default. The power socket will also be located on the back of the tablet, just like it would be for wall-mounting, allowing you to consider using this 15-inch iPad as a full-fledged pilot tablet for the home to visualize who is at the door, for example if you have a video intercom.

That being said, we shouldn’t expect this new iPad to arrive anytime soon. Indeed, Mark Gurman thinks he knows this 15-inch iPad won’t be on sale for a year or two. In any case, it will be interesting to see the emergence of such a product. As for the question of the price of such a beast, we prefer not to think about it.
