Apple iPhone 14 Pro could have 8GB of RAM

The iPhone 14 Pro may have 8GB of RAM. What about other models of this new generation?

Compared to Android smartphones, iPhones have less RAM. Plus, with 6GB of RAM, the iPhone 13 Pro is the best iPhone to date. All of that could change with the introduction of the iPhone 14 Pro, a lineup that could benefit from 8GB of RAM. Here’s what we think we know.

iPhone 14 Pro could have 8GB of RAM

Haitong International Securities analyst Jeff Pu explains in a research note obtained by MacRumors that Cuprtino could equip its iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max with 8GB of RAM. There is no mention of other models in this line in this note. In other words, it’s entirely possible that either Apple will keep the 4GB of RAM we find in the iPhone 13, or the Apple brand will force them to go up to 6GB to match the iPhone 13 Pro.

What about other models of this new generation?

Now, on paper, 8GB of RAM is still relatively small compared to the Android smartphone market, some models of which have 12GB. That being said, to Apple’s credit, the company that controls the hardware and software of its iPhone, even with 8GB of RAM, the experience remains perfectly smooth and enjoyable as the software is fully optimized. And developers have to constantly work with these “limitations”.

That being said, Apple significantly increased the amount of RAM in its new iPad Pro to 16GB a few months ago. It’s hard to see why the iPhone isn’t eligible either. Choosing a company from Cupertino is sometimes quite difficult to determine. However, we should have more details on these iPhone 14s as we move towards 2022 before their official launch at the end of the year.
