The iPhone 14 Pro may come with 8GB of RAM. It will be on par with the Samsung Galaxy S22.
On paper, Apple iPhones typically have “less”RAM than their competitors. At first glance, this may seem like a problem. While it’s pretty common to see smartphones with 12GB or 16GB of RAM today, it’s always amazing to see how the Cupertino-based company’s devices can run with “only”6GB of RAM. But this may change very soon.
iPhone 14 Pro may come with 8GB of RAM
If a report on Naver is to be believed, it’s possible that the Apple brand could increase the amount of RAM on the iPhone 14 Pro to 8GB, allowing Apple’s highest-end next-generation smartphone model to match the Samsung Galaxy S22 lineup.
Despite the passage of time, the Cupertino-based company has never really been in this race for RAM that we see in the Android market. And it’s made possible because Apple controls both the hardware and software of the iPhone. This allows, on the one hand, to determine the amount of RAM, and on the other hand, to calibrate and optimize all this so that the user experience is as smooth as possible.
It will be on par with the Samsung Galaxy S22.
On the other hand, Android devices have operating systems based on Google’s Android OS. Hardware, on the other hand, is determined by various manufacturers such as Qualcomm, which supplies most of the chips built into today’s smartphones.
At this point, it’s hard to imagine what benefits the upgrade to 8GB of RAM in the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max could have in real day-to-day use. We will have to wait, if the information is apparently confirmed, for this new generation to be in our hands.
