Apple May Introduce Mixed Reality Headset at WWDC 2022

Apple may unveil its mixed reality headset during WWDC 2022. However, it won’t be available for sale until 2023.

Like every year, be it physical or virtual, Apple should be hosting its traditional big developer crowd, WWDC, later this year, in early summer. No one knows if the Cupertino-based company will continue the model of pre-recorded virtual conferences or return to a live physical event, but this gathering should be very interesting. Moreover, a certain number of rumors are true.

Apple May Introduce Mixed Reality Headset During WWDC 2022

If analyst Gene Munster is to be believed, the apple brand could indeed take advantage of WWDC 2022 to formalize its rumored mixed reality headset. It’s been a long time since rumors circulated that the American giant was working on a pair of connected glasses. This mixed reality headset is said to be one of the many products the company is currently working on.

However, it will not be available for sale until 2023.

Gene Munster also adds that while Apple may indeed show what it’s working on, there’s a good chance the device in question won’t be available for purchase until 2023. This echoes a number of previous reports from prominent sources such as Bloomberg. Mark Gurman, who said last year that Apple could release its headset in 2022.

The helmet in question should in any case be sold at a fairly high price. If various past rumors are to be believed, it is said to be aimed primarily at developers rather than the general public. Apple would like to be able to build an ecosystem before launching a version for ordinary people. Additionally, some reports have suggested that the Cupertino-based company may eventually replace its iPhone with such a device in the rather distant future.
