Apple appears to have redesigned its entire Apple Music catalog to add lossless quality to songs.
If streaming services increase functionality, what matters most on this type of platform is probably the catalog offered, as well as the quality of the streaming in question. Not to mention the extremely high quality, which is hard to fully appreciate without expensive equipment, the lossless quality is a real plus for your ears. It seems that today Apple Music has already finished processing its entire catalog with this sound quality.

A few months ago, Apple announced that it would be offering lossless quality to Apple Music in the relatively near future. And this new option will be available to all subscribers at no additional cost. The Cupertino-based company eventually launched the feature with no less than 20 million songs compatible in this new format, announcing that it hopes to offer the same for its entire catalog by the end of this year.
Today, according to 9to5Mac, it seems that the apple brand has succeeded in achieving its goal. Although Apple hasn’t officially announced anything, the publication says that all the songs, artists, and albums they were able to research for their tests were offered lossless. This really suggests that Apple would have completed this transition.

For those who don’t know, lossless audio formats provide uncompressed music, unlike “traditional”digital music formats. This means that in theory the quality is much better. If you have equipment worthy of its name, of course, you can use it. If you’re listening to music through $5 headphones, you probably won’t notice a difference.
In addition to lossless, Apple has added a Hi-Res Lossless offering that requires the user to have a digital-to-analog converter (DAC) in order to take advantage of it. Also be aware that lossless quality streaming consumes much more data than “normal”quality. In other words, if you use Apple Music with your data and don’t have an unlimited data subscription, be careful.
