Apple is facing a class action lawsuit over the Apple Watch screen. Plaintiffs want a design flaw found in the lithium battery and screen.
Apple annually praises the materials used in the construction of the Apple Watch screen, materials that seem to make the panel extremely strong and durable. That being said, there seems to be a problem with the Apple Watch, a serious enough problem, obviously the owners of this very popular smartwatch are deciding to file a class action lawsuit against the Cupertino company.
Apple faces class action lawsuit over its Apple Watch screen
If records are to be believed, there is an issue that affects the Apple Watch, from the first generation watch to the Series 6. However, according to the complainants, the lithium in the Apple Watch too will tend to bloat, which could cause the battery to press against the screen and cause it to malfunction. In some cases, the screen even broke.
The complaint also includes an image of a large laceration on the complainant’s arm. This injury may have been caused by a broken Apple Watch screen due to this defect. The lawsuit seeks damages for Apple Watch users and wants the Cupertino company to formally acknowledge the “faulty nature of the Apple Watch.”

As mentioned above, all Apple Watch users, from the first generation to Series 6, including the Apple Watch SE, may be affected.
That being said, this is not the first time that an apple brand has been sued in this way, class action or not. Another complaint has already been filed against Apple and the screen of its Apple Watch. That was in 2018, but a federal judge finally closed the case in 2019, ruling that there was no reason to proceed. What will happen this time? We will have to wait probably a few months before we get an answer to this question.
