Apple revealed the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro, Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 lineups at its “Wonderlust” event on Tuesday, September 23, 2023.

As always, the new devices will ship with the latest operating system software preinstalled. Apple didn’t announce release dates for iOS 17 and watchOS 10 during the event. However, press releases for the iPhone 15 and Apple Watch Series 9 confirm the company will launch iOS 17 and watchOS 10 on Monday, September 18.

This is three days after pre-orders for the new iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro models are scheduled to start. As for the Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2, those devices are available to order today but will arrive on Friday, September 22.

So, the general public will need to be just a little bit more patient before enjoying Apple’s latest software updates. In addition, Apple has refreshed the iPadOS 17 Preview page to indicate that iPadOS 17 is also launching on September 18.

The Cupertino company has yet to say when exactly it will release macOS Sonoma and tvOS 17 publicly. In all likelihood, those updates will launch sometime in October when Apple could refresh some of its Macs with the upcoming M3 chip.

After the “Wonderlust” keynote concluded, Apple released so-called Gold Master (GM) versions of iOS 17, iPadOS 17, watchOS 10, tvOS 17 and macOS Sonoma. These are the same builds the general public will receive once those updates arrive.
