Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be free from February 24 to February 28

From February 24 to February 28, players will be able to play Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Valhalla for free. The game is available on both the latest generation of consoles (PS4/Xbox One) and current generation consoles (PS5/Xbox Series X/S), as well as on PC via Ubisoft Connect.

It’s pretty exciting for players who haven’t tried the game yet but want to see if they’ll enjoy the open-world RPG. The game is a pretty big deal with an impressively large map and a huge single-player experience.

The game is also being updated with all sorts of new events, features, and expansions, with the next one scheduled for March 10, 2022. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s next major expansion is Dawn of Ragnarok, featuring the god Odin as they attempt to save their son Baldur on Svartalfheim.

The game will also receive a new Title Update 1.5.0 on February 22, the details of which have yet to be confirmed. There will likely be new content added, such as festivals, or maybe even new gear and weapons. Patch notes for update 1.5.0 will be available closer to the update’s release date.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla also became the highest grossing game in the franchise, surpassing the $1 billion mark. This was announced by Ubisoft in its latest financial report.

The game was pretty big at launch and has steadily gained momentum over time thanks to two solid expansions, Wrath of the Druids and The Siege of Paris. While there were some performance issues, including bugs and crashes, many of them seem to have been fixed.

It also recently became known that Ubisoft is also currently working on a new AC game, but on a much smaller scale and scope. The game will likely be closer to the series’ roots in the stealth action genre and will focus on AC Valhalla’s Basima.
