There is nothing better than the Milky Way galaxy. First, it is a house; besides it’s beautiful. In today’s Wallpapers of the Week, we take the opportunity to enjoy “far”astrophotography. In line with recent media invitations to Apple’s celebrity events, this Milky Way galaxy wallpaper will make for a stunning backdrop while we wait for the iPhone 14 announcement.

The following photo collection was sourced from unsplash.com, an online image repository without a license. Our favorite photographer Evgeny Cherkassky. As his profile confirms, he is interested in nightscapes, landscapes and astroscapes. This collection of five downloads fits that description perfectly.
When I saw the invitations to Apple events, I was struck by the fun design that I can only assume is made up of stars. Hence, when I stumbled upon Cherkassky’s library, they included this link. The downloads below are at their original size, hosted on unsplash. Instead of cropping them to exactly match the iPhone’s screen size and ratio, I opted to leave them untouched. Hence, you will be able to customize the canvas when set as a background to showcase your favorite parts of each image.
My favorite last picture. A mirror pond with a single boat reflects the entire sky. The colors range from black to orange and purple and are also visually appealing from a contrasting color standpoint.
