Xbox celebrated its 20th anniversary last night with a special livestream that also surprised fans with the release of the Halo Infinite Multiplayer beta, now available for download. Multiplayer for the game will be free at launch, as is the beta right now, and players can download it to their Xbox or PC right now and jump straight into the first season of Heroes of Reach.
Halo Infinite Multiplayer contains some great game modes, Arena and Big Team Battle, both of which were well received during the game’s tech previews. Free to play on both PC and Xbox, Halo Infinite Multiplayer opens up the game to a whole new audience, which could only mean positive things for the game in the future.
Halo Infinite Multiplayer beta, here’s how to download it
To download the free beta, players can either get it through Xbox Game Pass or simply download it from the Xbox Store. Here’s how to do it:
- Go to the Xbox Store page for Halo Infinite (link here)
- Select “Get Free”or “Get Game Pass”.
- Sign in with a Microsoft account or create a new account
- To start the download, go to “My Games & Apps”or “My Library”on PC/Xbox.
Additionally, players can also download Halo Infinite Multiplayer through the Microsoft Store. Here’s how to do it:
- Open the Microsoft Store on Windows
- Go to the Xbox Infinite page
- Select “Get Free”
- Sign in with a Microsoft account or create a new account
The beta is also available on Steam and players can download it from the game’s page (link here). Because the beta is free, just like the multiplayer game, players don’t need to make any purchases to download the game. Players will be able to transfer their progress and rewards from the beta to multiplayer on launch day.
