Apple Music’s free trial just got cut

Apple is cutting Apple Music’s free trial period, the music streaming service is now only free for one month, up from three before.

Apple and Spotify are longtime competitors in the music streaming market. Unlike Spotify, Apple Music doesn’t have a free plan, but rather a three-month free trial. And this is very good compared to other paid streaming services. As they say, all good things must come to an end.

Indeed, it turns out that this free trial period of Apple Music will be significantly reduced. This discovery was made by Makotakara, the information was quickly confirmed by 9to5Mac. The Cupertino-based company has decided to shorten its free trial period from three months to one month. This means that now Apple Music will offer something very similar to the rest of the industry in this respect. So it’s neither good nor bad in the end.

There are a number of exceptions to this. The Apple brand explains that customers who purchase an eligible audio product, whether AirPods Pro, AirPods headphones (second or third generation), AirPods Max headphones, HomePod or HomePod mini speaker, Beats Fit Pro, Beats Studio Buds, Powerbeats, Powerbeats Pro, or Beats Solo Pro – will be eligible for a six-month free trial.

In other words, if you are going to buy any of these devices, you will be able to directly activate this free trial period, after which you will switch to a paid subscription for $9.99 per month. No one knows why the Cupertino company decided to shorten this free trial period. Perhaps she believes that the service is already mature enough to convert free users into paid subscribers faster.
