The story of Fallout 4 centers on a couple, the sole survivors of Vault 111, who are looking for their missing child, Sean. The episode is set in the Boston area in the year 2287, 10 years after Fallout 3. Along the way, the lone survivor discovers a world gripped by fear of a mysterious organization known as the Institute, a paranoid-ridden robot race, but also biological humans, the synths. Because of the synthetic narrative, the Sole Survivor, like the player, faces ethical issues such as the limits of scientific experimentation, the morality of creating sentient living machines that express emotion and suffering, and what it means to be human.
Fallout 4 will return soon to PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC
In the past, Bethesda’s Fallout 4 has only been enhanced for Xbox One X, allowing you to step back into the post-apocalyptic universe in 4K at 30fps. You can also run Fallout 4 on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S by enabling FPS Boost. However, while this pushes the frame rate up to 60fps, it also drops the resolution down to 1080p.
The Fallout license began in 1997, and the latest installment of Fallout 4, released in 2015, is the best-selling title, with 12 million copies sold worldwide on launch day alone.
