A new drama is unfolding in the BGMI Series 2021 right now as we head into the semi-final stage of the tournament as 2 more teams have been disqualified. Several teams were disqualified earlier in the tournament, but Crafton did not elaborate on specific infractions, but this is not the case this time.
This time around, Krafton shared specific rules that were found to be broken by Team 4 Heros and Team PLM. According to the BGMI Series Rulebook, Team 4 Heros and Team PLM were found to have violated rules 2.1.5, 3.2 and 6.2.4.
On the one hand, it’s frustrating to see competitive teams go out this way, on the other hand, it’s a positive move towards keeping things level at the BGMI Series 2021.
Team 4 Heros and Team PLM found to be violating BGMI series rules
These are the specific rules that were found broken by both teams:
2.1.5: Single team exclusivity
A Team Member or coach is only allowed to compete for the Team with which they have a contract. A Team Member or coach is not allowed to compete for more than one Team at the same time and therefore cannot be listed on more than one Team.
3.2: Filing a roster and registering a team
Before the start of any Official Competition, each Team must register their roster using the tools provided by KRAFTON or the Tournament Organizer. At the end of the registration period, the list will be blocked. Substitutions or lineup changes may only be permitted under urgent circumstances at the discretion of KRAFTON and the Tournament Organizer. The use of unapproved players or substitutes is strictly prohibited.
6.2.4: Call
You may not play under another player’s account or gamertag, or incite or encourage anyone to play under another player’s account or gamertag.
Crafton did not elaborate on each team’s rule violations, but the pair are currently disqualified from participating in the BGMI 2021 series. Team 4 Heros was one of the semi-finalists in the tournament and had a strong chance of winning and advancing to the final.
