BGMI India Series: Grind Weeks to Round One Announced

In iQOOO Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2021, a total of 32 teams made up of India’s best esports have been invited to participate in BGMI, but they will have to go through The Grind to take part in the tournament itself. While other players compete in the in-game qualifiers, 32 invited teams will compete in The Grind, a small tournament that takes place over 2 different weeks, the first of which starts on December 2, 2021.

The 32 invited teams include Velocity Gaming, Team 8-Bit, AXOM Esports and Team Incognito. Grind is likely to host a top notch BGMI event as all 32 teams are made up of some of the best BGMI and esports athletes in the country.

Grind Week-1 will coincide with the regular in-game qualifiers, while Grind Week-2 will take place just before the start of the first round. The competition in the iQOO Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) Series 2021 looks pretty tough as many teams have stepped up their game, including Velocity Gaming who are now part of BGMI with a brand new roster consisting of Raj “Snax”Varma and Randeep “Attanki”. Singh Bhullar, Daljit “Daljitsk”Singh and Sameer “Kratos”Chubi.

BGIS 2021 is the first iteration of an annual tournament hopefully hosted by Krafton and sponsored by iQOO. The tournament is definitely one of the most anticipated esports tournaments in the country as it has a huge prize pool of $1,345,200. The first round will begin on December 16, 2021 after the end of the play qualifiers and grind.

In total, 1024 teams will take part in the first 3 rounds of the tournament, of which only 64 teams will advance to the next round, the quarterfinals. 24 teams will take part in the semi-finals, which will be divided into 3 groups, of which only 16 will advance to the final stage – the Grand Final.
