BGMI: today is the last day to transfer data from a previous PUBG mobile account

Krafton has confirmed that today is the last day for PUBG Mobile players to submit their data to BGMI. The termination of data transmission will occur on 31.2021 at 23:59:59 (UTC). Players who have not yet migrated their data from the previous app but wish to do so can complete the transfer by midnight.

Transferring data from PUBG Mobile to BGMI includes basic information, seasonal rewards, mission progress, and more. Some data, such as messages, friends in the game, rating and clan data, cannot be transferred to the new game from the previous application. Players can use the account transfer feature to use any account, such as Twitter, to transfer data to the new app. Refer to our complete data transfer guide (link here) to learn how to successfully transfer data from PUBG Mobile to BGMI.

Data transfer completion for BGMI scheduled for midnight

After September 28, players were unable to migrate their data from a linked Facebook account. Thus, if the player’s data was linked to his Facebook account, it is now impossible to restore it. Facebook login has also been disabled in BGMI unless the player has downloaded the Facebook app on their phone. This issue is specific to Android devices because iOS users can still sign in with Facebook without the app.

Players can still transfer their data from PUBG Mobile if the account has been linked to their Twitter account. Krafton regularly reminds players to migrate their data by December 31, 2021. If players have not done so, they will have to start from scratch at BGMI, which can be a lot of work.

Battlegrounds Mobile India is currently in a precarious state as players seem to be demanding a lite version of the game while the current game is plagued by cheaters and hackers. Krafton has been working on a stronger anti-cheat solution for some time now, but it looks like it might take a lot of work.
