Black-Line launches the world’s first connected snowboards and skis
Black-Line recently introduced its new Black-Line Tag technology in partnership with various third parties, including the creator of LEDGER, to whom we owe the physical wallet of the same name. This technology is integrated directly into the ski or snowboard, allowing the wearer to connect their equipment to a dedicated mobile app. The latter, developed with Digital PACA, allows you to receive certain useful information such as equipment specifications, number of trips completed, status of life – out of 5 stars -, maintenance monitoring, maintenance alerts, declaration of loss or theft to the community Black-Line and the location of the lost or stolen product if someone comes to scan it.
Currently participating in a fundraising campaign on Indiegogo.
At launch, Black-Line offers two snowboard models – OBSERV (All Moutain / Freeride) in 2 sizes (162 and 158 cm) and WHITE HORSE (Freestyle) in 2 sizes (156 and 152 cm) – and a ski model – VALSY. (All Mountain / Backcountry) in 2 sizes (184 and 176 cm) -. They all offer a top sheet made from raw bamboo and various wood cores (bamboo, paulownia, poplar, beech) for a strong, durable, versatile and lightweight end product, all with biomass resin. This environmental approach is coming to the end of the life of the equipment, as Black-Line offers to offer a coupon to its owner instead of a return.
If you’re interested, know that you can reserve a snowboard or a pair of skis in the Indiegogo countryside. The OBSERV snowboard can still be yours for €349, the WHITE HORSE for €299 and the VALSY skis for €349. The campaign will end on January 29, 2022, with first deliveries expected in February 2022.
