Forspoken Combat Tips and Tricks for Beginners

The terrifying creatures of Atia in Forspoken can easily overwhelm you if you’re not well prepared. If you have just started playing, then we have some advice. It’s probably best if you leave them alone or come back again when you have better upgrades. However, if you are struggling with them even with the best updates, then you have nothing to worry about anymore. In this guide, we will show you the best Forspoken combat tips.

Forspoken 101 Combat Tips – Everything You Need to Know

There can be quite a lot of hostile creatures in Forspoken if you don’t know how to deal with them properly. You can only prevail in every battle if you use your devastating magic spells and equally good movement abilities. Here are some Forspoken combat tips you should keep in mind:

Raise those mana pools

This is the most important thing that cannot be overestimated. Mana pools are your glowing bluish-white pillars of light scattered across Atia. It’s hard not to miss them. Moreover, you do not even need any effort to get them. Just run through those mana pools, that’s it!

Mana is basically your currency for leveling up in Forspoken. You will receive one point for each pool. When you have enough of them, you can also use them to buy new magic spells. They are very worth your time!

Scan your environment

Simply press up on the D-pad to enable cuff scanning in Forspoken. This is a simple but very useful way to find out what to do next. The handcuffs on Frey’s hand can quickly scan the area. This can help you get information about each creature’s strength and weakness. It will also let you know which magic spells are sustainable and which ones work best.

Belfry Anyone?

Bell towers are your best companions in Forspoken. Once you interact with these towers, they will allow you to scan the entire area and mark everything you see on the map. These towers are the best navigation in the game. This is very useful as it will let you know about all the possible activities in the area.

Just parkour

Another combat tip in Forspoken is to use Magic Parkour as often as possible. You can do this by pressing the “O”button on the PS5 controller. From quickly scouring the world for resources to dodging elemental attacks from your opponents, Magic Parkour is your answer to everything.

However, it will consume some of your stamina whenever you use it. Also, it can help you dodge all attacks except those marked with a flashing “X”. To do this, you need to stay as far away from the enemy as possible.

Keep improving your gear

One of the simplest but often overlooked tips is gear upgrades. If you find yourself stuttering against even the weakest opponents, then it’s time to upgrade your gear. Frey’s upgradable gear includes her cape, necklace, and nail polish – unconventional, right? We thought so too. Use Cuff Scan as often as possible to gather valuable resources in the area. Keep using items to improve your equipment’s stats, which in turn will improve your defense, health, and magic stats.
