Bowers & Wilkins introduces a new version of its Zeppelin speaker. The same design, but with completely modern features.

One of Bowers & Wilkins’ most iconic speakers is quite possibly the Zeppelin speaker. Reminiscent in form.. . Zeppelin, an accessory, of course, has undergone many changes over the years, but its overall shape and design has remained the same. So when iPod docks were popular, the brand sold a version of their speaker with an iPod dock.

This now serves those who felt nostalgic at the sight of this iconic design and would like to see a touch of modernity in it. Indeed, Bowers & Wilkins recently announced the launch of the latest version of its speaker system, a model called the Zeppelin. At first glance, this column is very similar to its predecessors, but modernity demands that they have some very relevant features.

Same design but completely modern features

For example, this new Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin speaker now includes a USB-C port in particular for their upgrades. It is also fully compatible with various wireless protocols such as Apple AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect and aptX Adaptive Bluetooth audio technology. The new Zeppelin also initially brings together a large number of streaming services such as Tidal, Deezer, Qobuz, Soundcloud and TunIn, available through a dedicated mobile app.

On the technical side, Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin uses a pair of separate double dome tweeters, 90mm drivers and a 150mm subwoofer mounted in the center of the cabinet. This new generation of B&W Zeppelin is offered at a public price of 799 euros, which is a very high price, but which can be justified by the addition of these new features and its upwardly revised specifications.
