UK-based EE becomes the first wireless carrier to offer the Apple One bundle as a free perk.

EE (formerly Everything Everywhere) became the first wireless carrier to offer the Apple One bundle as a free bonus to those who subscribe to its service.

  • What is happening? EE, the UK’s national mobile operator and internet provider, will soon begin bundling Apple One to encourage consumers to sign up for its mobile service.
  • Why care? Apple One is already saving you money compared to subscribing to the included services individually. This comprehensive offering should make EE’s services even more valuable to potential subscribers. While this is the first time any company has used the Apple One package to boost their sales, it’s unlikely to be the last.
  • What to do? If you live in the UK, don’t have an Apple One, and aren’t subscribed to an EE plan, this offer might be of interest to you. You just have to be patient and wait until August 31st when you can sign up for the new Full Works plan with Apple One.

EE bundles Apple One with its Full Works plan for iPhone

According to an announcement posted on August 17, 2022 in EE Newsroom, the existing carrier plan, dubbed Full Works for iPhone, is being upgraded with a £14.95/month Apple One bundle offered as a free perk.

Subscribers get ad-free access to Apple Music, TV+, Arcade, and 50GB of iCloud storage. Previously, EE included free access to Music, TV+ and Arcade services as part of its Full Works plan. The only difference this time around is that customers now also get fifty gigabytes of iCloud storage.

The new offer will be launched on Wednesday 31 August 2022.

More carriers could merge Apple One

At the time of this writing, EE was the only mobile operator in the United Kingdom to offer this deal. While Apple has previously allowed wireless carriers to bundle Apple Music or Apple Arcade as part of their service offerings, this is the first time an Apple One bundle is being offered bundled with a third-party service as an added perk. The iPhone maker may continue to use the Apple One in this way, with similar deals with carriers in the US and other markets. Apple ramping up Apple One ads likely portends similar deals.
