Call of Duty: Beenox expands its presence in Canada

The Beenox development studio continues to grow with the opening of a studio in Montreal.

More than 20 years after founding in Quebec, Beenox is settling in Montreal to expand its workforce to support its involvement in the Call of Duty license as well as other ambitious new projects. The Canadian subsidiary of Activision already has about fifty new employees. We are currently recruiting managers for positions in the programming, design and art departments, as well as in the mobile team. The goal is to offer them an inspiring workspace that reflects the culture of the new studio.

“This investment in Montreal is the next key step in our studio’s growth as we continue to support Activision’s Call of Duty creative ambitions,” said Nur Polloni, director of Beenox. “We want our location to attract local and international talent while driving the dynamism of the video game industry in Montreal. This new office will allow us to improve our areas of expertise and develop our creative spirit. Our priority will be to provide our teams with a space that nurtures inspiration and innovation, while also fostering collaboration, learning and building strong connections. We want our team to come to the studio with pride, enthusiasm and comfort. ”

The Beenox expansion was carried out with the help of Montreal International and Investissement Quebec International.

“By choosing Greater Montreal to develop its successful franchise, Beenox demonstrates that the region is positioning itself as an important creative hub for both foreign investors and skilled workers looking to advance their careers. Montréal International is supporting the video game ecosystem in Greater Montreal, in particular by organizing recruitment missions that encourage these workers to come and put their know-how at the service of local production,” said Stéphane Paquet, President and CEO of Montréal International.

“Beenox stands out among the video game studios in Quebec. By continuing its expansion into Quebec, Beenox is confirming the attractiveness of our tech ecosystem. Our team will remain with Noor Polloni and the entire amazing Activision team and continue to support foreign subsidiaries in their operations in Québec so that their investments generate positive results in all regions,” said Hubert Bolduc, president of Investissement Québec. International.
