The second season of Call of Duty Warzone Pacific was supposed to start on February 2, 2022, but it looks like the launch has been delayed. In their latest blog post, the developers explained that the second season of Warzone Pacific and Vanguard will begin on February 14, 2022.
This delay is because the team needs more communication in development to provide a much better gaming experience. This extra development time means optimizing the gameplay, balancing the game (weapons and equipment), fixing game stability and bugs, and the overall feel of the game being polished.
This new update aims to improve the gameplay experience in Call of Duty Vanguard, Warzone Pacific, Black Ops Cold War and Modern Warfare.
The second season of Call of Duty Warzone Pacific will begin on February 14, 2022.
The developers assured that there will be more messages in the coming weeks to keep players in the loop. The update aims to address some of the most common issues raised by the community, including quality of life changes, core game loop adjustments, mechanics, and balance.
The fixes will be available for both latest generation and next generation consoles as well as PC. Gameplay improvements will also be available across all 5 platforms.
Clearly, one of the biggest stories surrounding the Call of Duty franchise is the question of exclusivity raised by Microsoft’s recent acquisition. While Xbox Phil Spencer assured fans that Xbox plans to support Activision Blizzard games across platforms.
“Activision Blizzard games are enjoyed across multiple platforms, and we plan to continue to support these communities going forward,”Spencer said in a blog post. As for how long support will last, one can only speculate, as it’s likely that Xbox will want to block franchises like Call of Duty from the Xbox platform.
