Cyberpunk Edgerunners by Studio Trigger was named Anime of the Year at the 2023 Crunchyroll Anime Awards.
For six years, the Crunchyroll Anime Awards have been one of the biggest annual events for anime lovers. It celebrates the cream of the industry by highlighting the most significant moments in global pop culture over the past year. The 2023 edition took place in Japan in Tokyo at the Prince New Takanawa Hotel with hosts Sally Amaki and John Kabira. Guests such as Justin Lin, Juju Smith-Schuster, Zelina Vega, Rachel “Ray”Hofstetter aka Valkyra, or even Haruka Kaki, Kendo Kobayashi and Sawa Suzuki presented several awards, including Cyberpunk’s Anime of the Year. At the 2023 Crunchyroll Anime Awards, 18 million fan votes from 200 countries and territories voted for their favorites. Some of the most active regions include Germany, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, France, UK, India, Mexico and the US.
