CSGO: how to skip the warm-up

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, better known as CSGO, is an old classic FPS game created by Valve. This is the game where most of the Aim Demons appeared, such as Shroud, S1mple, Hiko, TenZ, Scream, etc. Practice in the game allows the player to improve his skills and climb higher in the rank. But the game has a very limited number of training modes that will help the player. There is a way to customize the practice game though, and it starts by removing the warm-up phase. In this guide, I will show you how to skip the warm up in CSGO.

How to skip the warm-up in CSGO

The warm-up phase of the game is when all players are able to move and run for a certain period of time. This is implemented in order to allow the Server to have a full lobby. This can be annoying as you can practice lineups in your private games and don’t want to waste time. Thus, you will have to skip the warm-up phase in CSGO, which can be done with commands. You will need to enter the following commands:

  • mp_warmup_end

This will complete the warm-up in your game. If you want to completely skip the warm-up phase, enter the following command.

  • mp_do_warmup_offine 0

This will disable the warm up phase in your private games as well as games with bots in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. You can use these commands in the Shell. To access the command console, you will need to press the ` key (tilde key). By enabling developer mode in the game settings, you will be able to access the console. If you want, you can create a CFG file and paste the commands there. Check out our guide “How to open a map in CSGO”.
