Esports teams often retool during the season to optimize results, but it’s rare for teams to change staff in the middle of a game, but it looks like the CSGO Strife team did just that. Danny “cxzi”Strezhelchik was dropped from the roster during the ESL Challenge League Season 40 match against MIBR.
cxzi struggled to find their footing on the first map, Overpass, and were completely outclassed by their opponents, with Strife eventually finishing with a dramatic 16-5 scoreline. Danny struggled to make any positive impact on the match and was seen as one of the key reasons why the teams failed at Overpass.
cxzi’s final statistic on Overpass was 5 kills to 17 deaths, prompting Strife to drop them from the list.

The player was then replaced by Austin “AAustiN”Urb, who also failed to make a big showing as Strife lost 16-6 at Dust 2. It looks like the CSGO Strife team didn’t have a great time at ESL Challenger League Season 40, but perhaps the mid-match cutback could have been too preemptive, but fruitless nonetheless.
While “AAustiN”took Danny’s place in the next match, “cxzi”will be replaced by Bobby “stamina”Airtem. Reports say Strife will also join the team with Matthew “D4rtyMontana”Paplavskas as a fifth player.
While it wasn’t the best showcase of “cxzi”skills, the CSGO pro managed to turn things around for Strife ahead of the 40th season of the ESL Challenger League. “cxzi”played a key role in the success of the teams at Fragadelia, a LAN event in Philadelphia, USA.
