Santa Monica Studio’s release date for God of War Ragnarok is 2021, but the game has been pushed back to 2022 with an unconfirmed exact release date, but it looks like this may have been leaked. According to PlayStation Game Size, God of War Ragnarok’s release date is listed on the PlayStation Store back end and the game could be scheduled for release on September 30, 2022.
The size of a PlayStation game is usually exactly what they estimate of the data they mine from the PlayStation Store, but there’s a good chance it could just be a placeholder for the actual release date. A fairly common practice is to include the release date on the backend. Santa Monica has yet to announce an actual release date and it is expected to launch in 2022.
God of War Ragnarok may release on September 30, 2022.
It’s one of the biggest releases of the year and all eyes will be on Santa Monica and PlayStation when the release date arrives and fans are looking forward to a smooth launch. Thus, if a game requires additional development time, it’s probably in everyone’s best interests to have the game released at a later date.
The upcoming game, God of War Ragnarok, will be the latest entry in the Norse chapter of the couple’s saga, and it will be interesting to see where it goes next. Judging from the trailer, there’s a lot for fans as the game teases the hotly anticipated battle between Kratos and Thor, with others such as Tyr, Odin and Freya joining the fight.
2022 is going to be a pretty fantastic year for gaming as both PlayStation and Xbox are showing strengths and Nintendo looks poised to release a flurry of great games led by The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Sequel.
