Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G India launch date could be announced on April 12 as company teases with special announcement

Last week, Xiaomi confirmed through social media teasers that it plans to launch the Xiaomi 12 Pro in the country. The head of Xiaomi India, Manu Kumar Jain, hinted at the possibility of launching on April 12 in a social media post. However, no development has taken place since then. Now it looks like the company will announce the Xiaomi 12 Pro India launch date on April 12th. Xiaomi, in a recent social media post, said that keep an eye on our page for a special announcement on April 12, 2022.

Xiaomi 12 Pro was announced back in December in the Chinese market and has recently entered global markets. The Xiaomi 12 Pro is the company’s top offering at the moment and will be Xiaomi’s flagship for the Indian market this year.

Specifications and features of Xiaomi 12 Pro

The Xiaomi 12 Pro features a 6.73-inch Quad HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1500 nits peak brightness, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection, and HDR10+ certification.

Under the hood, the Xiaomi flagship has an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor and an Adreno 730 graphics accelerator. The system on a chip also includes up to 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The phone boots MIUI 13 based on Android 12 out of the box.

Xiaomi 12 Pro is equipped with a 50MP flagship camera with three sensors. The main sensor of the device is a 50-megapixel Sony IMX707 sensor with a 1/1.28-inch sensor size and optical image stabilization. It is complemented by a 50 MP ultra wide-angle lens with a Samsung JN1 sensor and a 115° field of view. There is also a 50-megapixel portrait sensor with a Samsung JN1 sensor and 2x optical zoom.

For selfies and video calls, the Xiaomi flagship uses a 12-megapixel front camera. Xiaomi 12 Pro is powered by a 4600mAh rechargeable battery. It supports 120W HyperCharge fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
