Slack has a ChatGPT app that lets you move forward with written messages. Slack’s parent company introduces Einstein, artificial intelligence for CRM.
Slack is the latest notable application to join the ChatGPT platform as the technology continues to generate hype. OpenAI has indeed developed the ChatGPT application using Slack development tools and it is now available in beta. But why exactly this? Explanations.
Slack has a ChatGPT app that lets you move forward with written messages.
According to Slack, the app in question can draft messages and summarize conversations and topics. If you have the ChatGPT application installed, you can click on the dedicated button in the topic menu and select “Summarize”or “Prepare Response”. The app will then write a summary or answer that only you can see. You can then share this information if you wish.
Slack explains that the app can also use artificial intelligence to offer helpful answers and information on any project or topic, similar to the chatbot you’re probably already familiar with. The company suggests that this may come in handy when looking for best practices to solve a problem or when looking for a potential new client. Slack clarifies that OpenAI will not use any data that ChatGPT may have access to on the platform to train its language models.
Slack Parent Company Introduces Einstein, Artificial Intelligence for CRM
At the same time, Slack’s parent company, Salesforce, created a generative artificial intelligence system dubbed Einstein. It offers integration with OpenAI technology, but companies using Salesforce products can interact with other third-party AI models through Einstein. As such, Salesforce explains that its customers can “use natural language guidance directly in their Salesforce CRM to create content that constantly adapts to customer information and needs in real time.”
In any case, this is yet another example of how generative AI can quickly gain a foothold in mainstream technology products, beyond search engines and the already numerous aspects of the Microsoft ecosystem. And with ChatGPT for Slack, you no longer have to rack your brains to find the right answer to this or that line of a colleague.
