Destiny 2: how to earn reputation

The most recent Season of Plunder update brings pirates and their full glory to Destiny 2. Like all updates, this season also brings a ton of new content. As you progress in this pirate-themed update, you need to earn a few currencies and resources. One of these resources includes reputation, which is required to upgrade your star map. And in order to improve your pirate crew, you need a lot of reputation. But how do you get them? Here’s our guide on how to get reputation in Destiny 2.

How to get reputation in Destiny 2

You can complete Seasonal Challenges and complete a specific Plunder Season quest to gain reputation.

  • As you progress, you will come across a quest called Sails of the Shipstealer. Completing this quest will reward you with 1 reputation.
  • Now, speaking of weekly seasonal challenges, you can earn reputation.
  • Since these seasonal challenges reset on a Tuesday each week, this can be a good way to farm these resources.
  • After completing these tasks, you will be able to go to the Seasonal Challenges menu.
  • Then select a completed task to receive a reward.

While it may take a little time, Seasonal Challenges are the best way to earn reputation. Scroll to the bottom to learn how to use your reputation.

How to use reputation

Here’s how you can spend the collected reputation:

  • As mentioned earlier, you can use Reputation to upgrade your star map.
  • There are three unique trees or sections on the star map that you can upgrade. And those three unique sections are Quartermaster, Swashbuckler and Navigator.
  • You can increase your reload speed during Ketchcrash and Expedition by upgrading the Quartermaster.
  • On the other hand, upgrading the Navigator will slightly increase the accurate damage of your weapons.
  • Finally, the Swashbuckler upgrade can slightly increase melee damage.
  • Since these upgrades have different levels, you can also spend more reputation to get more buffs.
  • You also need reputation to hire different members of your pirate crew.
  • In addition, you can also use reputation to improve your pirate crew and earn bonuses.

It’s all about getting reputation in Destiny 2.
