Deston, the largest and densest map in PUBG: Battlegrounds.

PUBG: Battlegrounds will host Deston on July 13th.

Throughout the Battle of Deston, PUBG: Battlegrounds players will be in a dense urban environment with tall vertical buildings, hilly terrain, plains, and newly designed swamps. The 8×8 map aims to strike the right balance between fun gameplay and immersive realism in battlefields.

South Korean publisher Crafton says Deston will have players explore each biome on the map to understand how they need to account for different gear, vehicles, and hideouts/hideouts in order to get chicken dinner.

New biomes in PUBG: Battlegrounds featuring Deston

  • Swamp – The very first swamp in PUBG: Battlegrounds has been created in the northern part of the map. This area is a unique environment filled with new experiences for players. The dense and lush mangrove forest requires a lot of hand-to-hand combat.
  • Central Plains – Central Plains offers a traditional experience that players have come to know and love. Similar to Erangel and Taego, this area offers players a balance of hideouts, scenery, and points of interest (POIs). The PDI house, located in the Central Plains, is the largest building ever built in the game. Players can go there and see some of the hunters become prey.
  • Concert area. Party goers will have fun in the Concert District, where players will find a giant chicken balloon floating in the air. The paintball arena will also offer opportunities for close, medium and long-range battles. Players will want to check out this PDI as it may become part of the Team Deathmatch roster in the future.
  • Western Highlands. Snipers will love what the Western Highlands region has to offer as players’ sniping skills and sniper rifle shooting will be put to the test. With a minimal amount of plants and a wide level of visibility, unsuspecting players can find themselves in the center of the field of view. The winding hills and dry, rocky atmosphere of the deserted coastal island will allow you to meet more often in shelters and hide.
