Diablo 4 stuck in queue, login problem: Can I play offline?

Are you stuck in a long line at Diablo 4 and get kicked out due to login and connection issues? You are not alone. This game has been highly anticipated since its predecessor was released ten years ago, which means that the servers will be overloaded due to the hype from the players. Here’s what you need to know about this particular issue when trying to access the beta or even the final version of the game.

Diablo 4 stuck in queue

If you’re stuck in a long queue in Diablo IV, don’t exit it or close/restart the game because that will put you back at the end of the long queues and reset your timer. Now, if the timeout is too long, try logging in during off-peak hours and see if you can log in.

As you can guess, this problem occurs due to peak hours in your area, and because of this, the servers cannot cope with the load. When the servers were full, players started experiencing login and connection issues, which even led to freezes and crashes. The team is releasing patches to the internal server to ensure server stability for both PC and console players, so you can try again in a few hours.

In closed beta, we have seen wait times in excess of 1.5 hours and even 2 hours. Some were automatically thrown out of the queue by the game, resulting in another agonizingly long wait. Blizzard acknowledged this and shared the news that their team has been working all night to get more players to experience the beta. There is a high chance that you will see long queues during the Open Beta, but rest assured that Blizzard is working on fixing any queue-related bugs.

Once these issues are resolved, more players will be able to join the Open Beta and queue times will be significantly reduced.

Can Diablo IV be played offline?

There is no way to play Diablo 4 offline. This is an online game and you will need a permanent internet connection to play it. Unfortunately, this means that you will experience disconnection, lag, or frame drops if your internet connection is slow or intermittent.

With that said, once the game is running smoothly, be sure to check out our Diablo category for everything you need to know about it.
