Dinkum is a game in which our character lives on an island. There are certain NPCs in the game that are associated with a certain action in the game. John is one of those NPCs in the game. He sells tools and equipment in exchange for a few Dinks. John must be a permanent resident of your island so that you can buy tools from him. Buy a metal detector from John by following the steps below:
- Some activities in this game require licenses. A metal detector license is required to purchase a metal detector.
- Go to Fletch’s tent and buy a metal detecting license for 500 PP.
- Also buy an Excavation License for 500 PP. This license is required to purchase a shovel.
- Log in to John’s Goods and buy a metal detector for 6600 Dinks.
- Buy a shovel for 900 Dink from John.
- You can now equip the metal detector and shovel from inventory.
- Equip the Metal Detector and roam the Map looking for items that are underground.
- When you are within one square of a buried object, the metal detector makes a sound.
- It makes a relatively loud sound and displays a marker when you are exactly over the treasure.
- Equip a shovel from your inventory to dig the ground and collect a buried item.
- Upgrade your Metal Detector’s License to 2000 PP to improve your Metal Detector’s scope for finding buried objects.
