Motorola has confirmed the launch of a new G-series smartphone. The company will launch the G82 5G as its new mid-range smartphone on June 7th. Another Motorola smartphone that is in development is the Moto G Go. The phone is budget. The Lenovo-owned sub-brand has yet to confirm a launch date for the upcoming budget smartphone.
While we wait, a new leak has revealed the design of the Moto G Go. Tipster Sudhanshu, who shared the design leak, also revealed some of the key specs of Motorola’s upcoming smartphone. Let’s take a look at the Moto G Go’s specs, design and other details that have already been leaked.
Moto G Go Design, Specifications Leaked
Motorola will release the Moto G Go as a new budget smartphone very soon. Images of the design and specs of the device were leaked ahead of its launch. According to images uploaded by informant Sudhanshu, the phone will have fairly thick bezels around the display. The chin, in particular, is thicker than the other bezels around the screen.
Motorola will release a phone with a waterdrop display. The multi-touch display will feature an IPS LCD panel. The volume and power buttons are on the right side, and on the left side there is a microSD card slot and a SIM card tray.
The polycarbonate back panel has a vertically aligned camera. There will be a dual camera on the back. According to Sudhanshu, the phone has a 13 MP main camera. There will also be an additional 2-megapixel camera. For selfies, the phone will have a 5MP front camera sensor. The pill-shaped module also houses an LED flash.
For biometrics, the phone has a fingerprint scanner located on the back. It will most likely also support AI face unlock. On the bottom edge is a USB Type-C port, next to which is a speaker grille. The phone also has a headphone jack on the top edge.
It won’t be a surprise if the phone runs Android 11 (Go) Edition out of the box and comes with 2GB of RAM for the base model. Information about the display size, processor and battery of the phone remains unknown. We will share more details about the same when it becomes available.
