Apple has unveiled the first images of a prehistoric planet.
Produced by Jon Favreau and Mike Gunton, with contributions from BBC Studios Natural History and photorealistic visual effects specialist MPC, the five-part documentary series Prehistoric Planet will take viewers 66 million years into the past to see our world and the dinosaurs that inhabited it. – all in stunning detail and original music by multiple Academy Award winner Hans Zimmer.

Prehistoric Planet combines award-winning wildlife filmmakers, the latest paleontological data, and state-of-the-art technology to uncover the spectacular habitats and inhabitants of ancient Earth and provide an immersive experience like no other. This event series features amazing little-known facts about dinosaur life in Cretaceous environments including coasts, deserts, freshwater, ice worlds and forests. From revealing the methods of raising a Tyrannosaurus Rex to exploring the mysterious depths of the oceans and deadly perils in the skies, Prehistoric Planet brings Earth’s history to life like never before.
Prehistoric Planet premieres May 23 exclusively on Apple TV+. The episodes will be narrated by Sir David Attenborough.
