House of the Dragon: Season 2 Officially Ordered

HBO has renewed House of the Dragon for a second season.

Co-produced by Martin and Ryan Kondal, who serves as co-showrunner with Miguel Sapochnik, who also directs, the Game of Thrones prequel, House of the Dragon, was renewed for a second season by US channel HBO after the success of the first episode. The debut of the television series, which tells about the history of House Targaryen, was watched by more than 20 million viewers.

The House of the Dragon season 1 cast includes Paddy Considine, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Steve Toussaint, Eva Best, Fabienne Frankel, Sonoya Mizuno and Rhys Ifans. Additional cast includes Millie Alcock, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Emily Carey, Harry Collette, Ryan Corr, Tom Glynn-Carney, Jefferson Hall, David Horovitch, Will Johnson, John McMillan, Graham McTavish, Ewan Mitchell, Theo Neith, Matthew Needham, Bill Paterson, Fia Saban, Gavin Spox and Savannah Stein.
