New name and new visual style for Dontnod Entertainment.

Don’t Nod has gone through several major changes in recent years, including the creation of a studio in Montreal and a move into publishing to help independents achieve recognition in the video game industry. Over 300 developers are currently working in France and Canada on six internal projects.

DON’T NOD turns 14, so we thought it was time for a fresh look! We have a new logo, website, and way to spell our name to better reflect who we are. To showcase the logo, we made a reel that you might wanna watch!

“I am very proud of the journey we have taken over the past fourteen years,” says Oscar Gilbert, CEO of Don’t Nod. “The company has grown in many directions, with a strong desire to be a leader in creating and delivering meaningful entertainment through original and relevant stories that allow our talent and players to inspire change, no matter how small. The visual overhaul of this new brand will help us convey our core identity.”

Why don’t they nod?

Dontnod Entertainment wanted to reintroduce the apostrophe and a space between two words to give “Don’t nod”its full meaning. Don’t Nod is made up of two words that refer to the tendency to be unconventional both within the company and in the games it creates. The D is broken and an N appears inside, signifying that they are not afraid to break the circle. Finally, the logo connects these games—meaningful and powerful stories—to what Don’t Nod is as a company.
