The Action button on the Apple Watch Ultra can be configured to launch the Oceanic+ app on the pre-dive screen. If you press the Action button while diving, you will quickly mark the compass bearing. The app uses haptic feedback, and Apple says divers will feel notifications underwater through a 7mm wetsuit.

Oceanic+ requires either an Apple Watch Ultra with watchOS 9.1 paired with an iPhone 8 or later, or a second generation iPhone SE or later with iOS 16.1.
