The release of the new feature-length animated film Dragon Ball Super Hero has been pushed back to an as-yet-unknown date due to the recent hack in Toei Animation’s IT infrastructure.
Originally scheduled for release on April 22 in Japan and then in the summer of 2022 in the rest of the world, the first full-length CGI Dragon Ball film has been officially delayed because Toei Animation gained unauthorized access to its network by a third party: “This made the production of the film difficult.”As a result, we have no other choice but to delay the release. We apologize to those who are looking forward to the release of the unreleased film. However, we will announce a new release date soon. Thanks for understanding. Please save your already purchased tickets in advance as they will be valid for the new release date. ”
Please note that the broadcast dates of the following episodes of Dragon Quest: The Adventures of Dai, One Piece, Digimon Ghost Game and Delicious Party: Pretty Cure are also affected by this malware intrusion. Toei Animation said it is actively working with the security company to determine if the hack has affected user and customer data.
Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero Novel Date Change
To prevent some fans from revealing on social media several plot elements of the Dragon Ball Superhero animated film before its release in Japanese theaters, Japanese publisher Shueisha has also decided to delay the release of the novel of the same name.
