How to play Dying Light Coop on Steam and the Epic Games Store
You can play Dying Light Coop with your friends across multiple platforms including Steam and Epic Games. You can also play with your friends if they play Mac OS, Linux, GoG and Windows PC. But before you connect with friends online, make sure you have unlocked the DL’s multiplayer co-op mode. To unlock the Co-op, you must complete the prologue with a mission called “First Task”.
Once you unlock multiplayer, you will be able to play DL Coop multiplayer on Steam and Epic Games:
- First, pause your gaming session and press the C button. This will bring up a section for session options.
- Set the visibility of the game to “Friends Only”and enable the “Human Co-ops”option.
- Then click on your friend’s name in the “Friends”section of the “Pause”menu.
- You can either join or invite a friend to the game.
- Once your friend accepts your invitation, you will be able to play with our friend in cooperative multiplayer mode.
If you are unable to contact your friend, the cause may be overcrowded and busy DL servers. Ever since Dying Light went free-to-play on the Epic Game Store, the game has seen a sudden spike in traffic. Therefore, we recommend playing Coop during off-peak hours and be patient.
