The American publishing house Electronic Arts informs that its traditional summer conference will not take place this year.
An Electronic Arts spokesperson explains the decision not with a 2022 release for EA Play Live: “We love this event because it’s our way to connect with our players and share new content with you. However, this year things aren’t queuing up to show you everything in one date. We have some exciting projects in development at our world-class studios and will update you with more when the time comes. We look forward to spending time with you throughout the year! ”
With major titles such as Dead Space Remake, FIFA 23, Dragon Age 4, Mass Effect 4, or even Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2, Electronic Arts should favor brief appearances at several conferences such as the Xbox Games Showcase, PlayStation Showcase, Summer Game Festival or Gamescom Opening Night live.
Are EA Play Live and E3 the Same Destiny?
From 2016 to 2020, EA Play was held simultaneously with the Electronic Entertainment Expo before the opening of the famous American show EA Play Live. E3 has canceled its physical presence for the third year in a row and has yet to confirm plans for a digital event. Last year, the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) hosted three days of live streaming to replace the physical show.
