Elden Ring is coming soon as a board game. Exploration, fights and scary bosses, of course. Game coming soon to Kickstarter.
From Software has a solid understanding of how to manage difficulty in their video games. This may have prevented you from playing Elden Ring, but now you will have another opportunity to discover the world of the most popular game of the year. This week, Steamforged Games announced that they are going to adapt Elden Ring into a board game.
Elden Ring coming soon as a board game
According to company co-founder Matt Hart, “fans can expect a dark, action-packed board game filled with mystery and danger, action-packed combat and rewarding exploration.”At the moment, there are very few details about this project, but Steamforged has promised a combat system that will not include dice rolls. What’s more, you can play with up to three other friends at a table or alone if you want.
Exploration, fights and scary bosses of course
Similar to board game adaptations of Dark Souls and Horizon Zero Dawn, Elden Ring: The Board Game will offer a large number of figurines. A few days ago, the company released a render of one of them, showing what Margit, one of the original Elden Ring bosses, might look like. Despite its small size, this version of Fallen is just as intimidating as the video game version. Steamforged will share more details about their project when they later offer the game on the Kickstarter crowdfunding platform. In the meantime, you can subscribe to be notified of updates when they arrive.
Game coming soon to Kickstarter
In any case, there is no doubt that the Elden Ring: The Board Game games are full of action and ready to die, probably more than once!
