Elden Ring Point of no return (explained)

Elden Ring has many dungeons, secrets, bosses, multiple endings and quests to skip. Several players are worried about blocking themselves from in-game content. Unlike other RPGs, Point of No Return is more complex as there are multiple instances. This critical moment can be defined as the moment or place when it is impossible to return to the content of the previous game. This includes blocking previous locations, NPCs, quests, items, and more. We have many points of no return, which makes the situation even more intriguing. But how do you avoid or get to them? Check out our guide that explains everything about the point of no return in Elden Ring.

When is the point of no return in Elden Ring (explained)

As mentioned earlier, there are many points of no return. But besides these points, two main ones can block you in some places. You will encounter the first one when you defeat the Fire Giant and burn down the Erdtree tree. And the second happens when you defeat Maliket, the Black Blade.

Let’s look at both of these irreversible points of no return in more detail:

Burning of Erdtree

Once you defeat the Fire Giant, you will gain access to the Giant’s Forge. You need to go through this place to get to Azula’s Collapsing Farum. When you get there, you will need to interact with Melina. If you choose to burn Erdtree, you will make most of the NPCs in the Round Table Keep disappear.

While you may not find Rodriika in the same place, you can find Master Blacksmith Hyuuga and Two Fingers in the same place. If you are looking for Rodrieka, you can look for her near the fireplace.

Killing Maliket, the Ebon Blade

In addition to the above points of no return, there are several endings that you can get. For spoiler-free information, check out our guide on how to get all the endings in Elden Ring.
