Build mode is back in Fortnite. What will reconcile all players?
When a game as popular as Fortnite, with millions of players, makes the smallest decision, it can get pretty crazy. When the Epic Games studio decided to remove the ability to build in the game, and even more so announced that this mode would be permanent, not everyone took this news with joy. Today the studio is changing its tune.
Build mode is back in Fortnite
Less than two weeks after the feature was removed, Build Mode returned to Fortnite. This Saturday, Epic returned to the classic battle royale mode. It now exists alongside the newly introduced Zero Build mode, and you can start playing alone or as a team, depending on your mood at the time and/or your preferred way of playing. This should allow players to reconcile around their favorite game and, above all, not lose the fans of the first hour.
What will reconcile all players?
Epic has announced the temporary removal of Fortnite’s build mode with the start of Season 2 Chapter 3 on March 20. This decision was the most surprising as it was the feature that made the game stand out when Epic decided to launch a battle royale mode in 2017 following the worldwide success of PUBG.
And judging by the many reactions to this Saturday’s announcement, many players, unsure if they represented the majority or not, weren’t entirely happy with the change, although it was always considered temporary.
Now, let’s hope this grumbling is just history and players get to enjoy Fortnite once again. That’s all the evil we wish for Epic Games.
