Countries that will receive the iPhone 14 Plus in October

The iPhone 14 Plus uses the previous generation Apple A15 Bionic chip. It has upgraded dual cameras on the back and a large 6.7-inch display on the front.

Curiously, the iPhone 14 Plus marks the first time a non-Pro iPhone has offered a massive display. Apple’s press release even emphasizes that this is a phone for those who find the Pro models, with their stainless steel body, too heavy.

“This is a great option for those who want a larger screen in a lightweight, durable aluminum chassis,”said Cayann Drans, Apple’s vice president of worldwide iPhone product marketing. Read: iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max setup tips.

The iPhone 14 Plus will go on sale tomorrow, October 7th in the US and other countries. After that, the device will be launched in other countries later in October.

Wait for the emergency SOS signal to arrive via satellite?

The Emergency SOS feature via satellite will arrive in the iOS 16 software update in November. This will initially be limited to the US and Canada.

Apple has said the satellite service will be free for two years when you activate any iPhone in the iPhone 14 family. After that, you’ll need to pay to continue using Emergency SOS via satellite, but Apple has yet to reveal pricing.
