This Siri shortcut scans all the songs in any Apple Music playlist and creates a new playlist that replaces songs with explicit lyrics with their “clean”versions. It’s the fastest way to create playlists for the whole family in Apple Music.
To get started, you need to download the Make Clean Playlist shortcut and run it on your phone. The shortcut will automatically show you a popup that will allow you to scroll and select any of your Apple Music playlists. From there, the shortcut will ask you for the name of the new playlist and start creating a clean version. The process may take some time, please be patient.
Simple and damn effective
With this, you don’t have to stay in front of the screen and the progress bar in the Shortcut app. Open Apple Music and you will see a new playlist. Songs will appear gradually as the shortcut completes its task. When you’re done, the shortcut will let you know if clean versions of a particular song couldn’t be found. All these unbeatable songs will be automatically removed from the new playlist.
Note: this shortcut is not perfect, the result should be checked. For example, Green Day has a single song called “Holiday/Boulevard of Broken Dreams”that combines two songs.
